MCF is situated 12 minutes NE of Shelton Washington with secluded wetlands nested against the SW shores of Spencer Lake. Covering over 124 acres MCF offers terrain from grassy fields to heavily wooded forests and an abundance of sanctuary wetlands. Being surrounded mostly by private timberlands expands the remote feeling this location has to offer. More than 3 miles of maintained trails deliver single track/ pedestrian/equine pathways to wider trails joined by a main trunk trail large enough for vehicles. Malaney Creek meanders through a cool grassy tree lined meadow where a 40 year old wooden bridge serving the main driveway can be viewed. Established in 1977 as a resident farm, MCF was once rich with an old growth ceder forest feeding a cedar mill and railroad built by early settlers of Mason County. Remnants of the old growth giants still remain.

Sites are very private, well maintained and equipped, and offer plenty of space- trails were lovely, potty was clean, and the hosts are super friendly! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back (I already have, twice before)!

Great rain or shine!

Beautiful property, awesome site. The weather was uncooperative with our camping weekend but this site has a genius tarp setup that had enough dry space for two tents and the big picnic table in the middle. Setting up on dry ground saved us a ton of cleaning time once we got home. For the day that the weather was nice, there's a neat recreation area with giant connect 4 and Cornhole next to a cute bog filled with frogs and interesting birds. All interactions with the hosts were extremely friendly and our trip could not have been much smoother!

Creekside Paradise

We had a wonderful weekend at the Creekside site! Tracy and her husband were wonderful hosts and good communicators, very responsive through messages, helping us restock on wood whenever we needed! The site itself was beautiful!! So much room for relaxing under the sun and staying dry in bad weather! The property had a lovely rec area with corn hole and other activities available a short walk from our site with a great bird watching spot as well! I will be sure to bookmark this campsite for future stays, as I have nothing but good things to say!

Host: Kind, responsive, and gracious! Camping: It’s a luxury to have a picnic table and tarp already set up upon arrival. Plenty of space to spread out, serene, and private. Great fire pit! Definitely recommended!

Creekside

Peaceful and quiet, well kept

A beautiful well kept place to stay! Highly recommend. Unfortunately we had a little battery trouble with our RV and the hosts allowed us to plug in for a few minutes to get our generator back up and running. We were very fortunate and grateful as it was cold and definitely needed our heat and electric to be working.
